I have an older sister and we hate each other. We can't speak without fighting and honestly, I really prefer it that we don't talk. I don't even like seeing her.

What's the relationship between you and your siblings like?

VERY Close and we DO care about each other -- and that is the TRUE Meaning of family (including being there when the other sibling needs us).

We have ALWAYS been close -- and especially so since we were very young adults when we buried our parents. Throughout our Military Careers (and I am the oldest, female, with two younger brothers), we have been stationed across the continents/world -- never in the same place or nearby, but we ALWAYS called or wrote or just thought out loud.

Now that we are reaching Retirement (and I've finally become an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree) ... I am glad to say that I've been able to travel to see my siblings regularly -- and I've just spent a few months back on the family farm ... helping out with the horses and the chores. This is SHEER JOY!

I am sorry to hear you and your sister are having problems. I really wish I had a sister.
I have one brother, who is 7 years older then I am. We are both mature adults. The only time we see each other is during holidays when we get together at our parents house. He and his wife are quite wealthy and I am rather poor. We don't "run" in the same circles. They hobnob with the governor and others of that type, I hobnob with no one, I'm a loner. But I'm a very happy person.

My sister is younger than me. When we were growing up we fought like cats and dogs. Now that we are older we don't fight at all. My sister has been there thr the most horrible time in my life. I love her and always will. Getting older settles people down. You start to realize how stupid fighting is and how important family is.

I had an older sister, we didn't always get along. For a long time we were distant. She was killed in a house fire last year. The last few years of her life we became very close. I will treasure those years and the special times forever.

My sister and I get along pretty good. She hangs out with my buddies and I. She's become a good friend. We weren't too close growing up. Back then, I thought that she was the most annoying person on the face of the planet. I'm glad we've become close.

Howdy em!

Umm, Well me and my brothers are "close", which is what my mum says. We all "care" about eachother.

Bull sh........ My family is nosey, mum just says we are close so that everyone has an excuse to be in everyone else's business.

Umm, I love my brothers. One of my brothers and I fight heaps but we love each other. He's the main one with his nose in everyone else's business.

The other one annoys me but we love eachother. He basically thinks that everyone else that does stuff to him is horrible but he can do the exact same to other people.

That's pretty sad that you don't have a good relationship with one of your sisters!! But if you've tried, there's nothing much else you can do!

My lil sis is pretty chill. We get along great for the most part. I think it helps that we're brother sister instead of sister sister or something. We don't step much on each other's toes this way.

We're tighter than ticks and talk on the phone once a week or so because Mom isn't doing so well. I'm sorry you can't share in closeness with your sibling.

Civil-we don't hate eachother any more, because we grew up. I think our relationship changed when I became a mother, and they wanted relationships with their neice(and now they have a nephew, too). My brother is about to be a father ANY DAY now, and my sis and her husband want kids eventually, too. I think we are finally starting to be more than just civil, actually.

We used to get on eachothers' last raw nerves almost consistantly.
