its called solipsism.
its where you believe you are the one and only god because you are the only one who can perceive yourself. it means the self is the only thing that can be known with certainty. the solipsist cannot accordingly conceive how this word is to be applied in any sense other than this exclusively egocentric one. solipsists believe everything is just a projection of themselves, even god.
rene descartes did a lot of writing and pondering this very subject. i find it very interesting because solipsism is one of the only (if not the only) schools of though that cannot be refuted. i mean, unless you've perceived something in someone else's physical body then its pretty hard to say you can know for a fact something you, yourself did not experience. empiricism (having to perceive or experience something in order to understand it) is a huge part of solipsism. when that comes down to god, its like one can say they have experience god, or perceived god, when in fact thier perceptions were generated by themselves (thoughts or feelings in their own mind) - meaning they can only perceive themselves. therefore god lies within the self. i have a headache now, but its interesting. check out these webpages for more info.

people here have said 'narcissistic, egocentric, etc) which are all correct answers. the category that egocentrics, narcissists, and the like all fit into as a collective whole is solipsism. thats what the philosophical historians say anyway.
