For some reason, everytime I go travelling and then come back home, usually for the whole day I feel sad and depressed inside. I listen to sad music, which is not me at all. I hate slow songs, but after returning from a trip really far away; i feel depressed inside and I just sit in my room the whole day listening to sad music, and how I wished I was not home yet. This happens to me when I visit family and when I just go on a trip. I start missing the place/country/family. How should I deal with it? I'm currently in that mood.

You are giving into the negativity.
If you wish to be sad, your mind can invent many ways to encourage it.

The way to combat it would be to regain control and stop letting the sadness steer your ship. Be grateful for the many memories you made. I spend all my vacations shooting off roll after roll of film so my trip becomes a vivid chronicle of the great time I had and thus I am able to remember details I would normally forget.

Look forward and start planning your NEXT adventure.

There is nothing strange about this. You experienced a loving, interesting time while you were away from home. Now, it's over, you're by yourself, it's sad. Now that you know this, expect it to happen so you're not surprised in the future, and learn to do certain things to distract this initial lonliness. Get back into your normal day to day routine. Change your thought processes to more positive ones by listening to upbeat music instead of sad music. Do something interesting. Contact friends nearby and see them. All these things, will replace that empty feeling.
