I think that most Western countries are better then most Asian countries. But I respect what Japan & South Korea have done with their countries. I think that China has a chance of becoming a world super power with in the next 30 years. Which I think is scary considering their human rights abuses.

I think the West could learn a lot from Asia, but I don't think any country or it's people are perfect anywhere in the world.
I don't think Asian people are stupid or useless. In fact, I admire the value they place on education and family, it's something that's lacking in American in my opinion.
They're countries aren't slow at all, if anything they're growing far more rapidly than other countries. China, India, Korea, etc are already economic powers and will soon dominate the world economy. The people in these countries have so much drive to become truly developed nations.
I live in a city with a lot of Asian people, mostly Chinese and Indians. I think they're the greatest neighbors and I love sharing my town with them. They are driven, they are good businesspeople. All of the valedictorians in my grade were Asian. My doctors are usually Asian. As a minority in America I feel they're doing exceptionally well, and are able to join in on the mosaic without completely abondoning the cultures of their birth countries.
As far as Asia goes, I've only been to China and Hong Kong. Our countries are very different from each other. However, I never felt unsafe or unliked, if people had any negative feelings about me they sure didn't show it, which is really the best you can do. I think it's cool how the Chinese are maintaining they're rich culture but are able to modernize and Westernize in some ways. Hong Kong was great, I had a lot of fun there and it is similar to the U.S. in many ways. I'm actually going to begin taken Chinese classes this fall.
Overall I think very few countries are better than others. America certainly has a lot of things it needs to do to catch up with the rest of the West, but China and India do too. The way things are looking, our world is quickly globalizing and I think China and India will definitely be major influences on that.

I haven't actually been to asia but have had asian friends. I have found them to be no different intellectually.
The difference in general is that we have more freedom i.e freedom of speech and equality amongst men and women than some asian countries.
I find the chinese are quite proud and polite people. As for indians ( Hindus ) I find that life is all about money and not bringing shame on the family which is a bit sad.
Asian cultures are very interesting and complex.
I think that the East and West have both good and bad points. I don't believe one is better than the other.

I do not think people from Asian countries are stupid or useless. Wow I don't know any fool who thinks like that. I think their cultures are interesting and I think some of their ways are a little to much into tradition, but hey that's how they live. I have dated several Asian girls in my life, I find them to be some of the most beautiful women in the whole world! I think that Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese women are the most beautiful in the world. The men are usually nice and have a good sense of humor. The women are usually very sweet and nice, and usually once you get to know them very funny to. I do not think that Western nations or people are any better than Asian people as a group. I have never been to an Asian nation but one day I would really love to travel to Japan. It looks so interesting there! When it comes to India I think that it seems more underdeveloped in many areas than other nations. I do not know that much about Indian people, once again I think they have some very pretty women there. I do not care much for the Chinese government. I think they could treat their people better and allow them far more freedom than they do. As a group I think the Chinese are a nice group of people. I love to see people from Asia that come to the U.S. to live. I think it is very interesting and usually find them very nice. Well I hope this helped answer your question. At lest that's how I feel on the subject. =)

The people are mostly good. I don't like the human rights abuses in China, the devaluation of women in China, the caste system in India. All those things occur to some extent in the west too, just not as blatant. They are getting better.

People are people, we're all the same. Culture is only skin-deep.
I'm actually slightly offended by the nature of this question because in the hands of an ignorant manipulative person, it might imply that there really is a deeper difference when there isn't - inside we're all the same, so such a question is totally irrelevant if a person cares to educate themselves at all.
