4 in 34 years.

My first was when I got my 1st paycheck. I was rushing home to spend it! lol The cops were nice and reduced the speed for me so I wouldn't have to pay so much.

My second was after I got my 1st car. I always drove the speed limit. I was in the army with my friends, when I thought I heard a noise in the engine. I sped up as we went down a hill. I didn't hear anything, so I slowed back down. My friend said, “Why did you do that with that cop on the side of the road?”

I did NOT try to explain to the cop. I would never have believed that story, so how could I expect him to?

Number three was issued for going 3 mph over the speed limit by an MP at Ft Hood TX. He had a bad attitude and was extremely rude! The absurdity of it all really upset me. Years later I discovered I could have fought it and would probably have won.

The forth was my fault. I was speeding to college on a road that seldom saw police cars. He told me they were aware and would be patrolling it more often. I went to driving school… and slowed back down. That was about 12 years ago.

I have only received one speeding ticket my whole life. Yes I was speeding, going about 80 in 65 mph freeway. Not that bad but they got me.

I got one in North Carolina over a year ago! Beware. If you are going over 80 miles an hour, you have to show up in court or hire an attorney. It is a scam, hire the attorney, they will get you off with no points on your record.

Only a couple, and yes. However, most of the citations I have received have been for more technical things, such as violation of a traffic control device.
