As far as I know no one has faked a 1943 zinc coated steel cent. They have tried to fool people by copper coating them and saying they are the rare copper ones. If a magnet picks it up it is zinc coated steel. There have not been any new copper ones found in a good many years. There are maybe 14 or so from all the mints.
