Yes. Just make sure the goals and purposes of your life are in alignment with morality and decency. If you do not find a purpose now, do not worry, one will happen upon you. Everyone has a reason for being here, whether we know that reason at this point in our lives or not. Do not stress yourself looking for a purpose. Until you do find that purpose, embrace your passions (hiking, skiing, mentoring, astronomy, sports, politics, etc.) get wrapped up in your passions, and your purpose will reveal itself to you. Good luck on your life's journey.

Our human nature demands that we live for some reason. Our sense of self-worth increases with the importance of the reason for which we live.

Real purpose refers to questions such as "why was I put on earth?" and "what is my mission here?" and "what was I meant to do"

Questions about real purpose requires a God in order to be a meaningful question.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (philosopher, mathematician, Nobel Laureate)

Without God, the purpose-question changes from "what was I meant to do?" to "what can I do that will give myself happy feelings and make me feel good about myself?"

I think most of the previous answers are really referring to this gathering of good feelings concept and not real purpose.

Many of us know that we have a purpose in life, but it took us many years beyond our youth to figure out just what that purpose is. Some of us still don't know. Some day we will, and so will you :)
