If you didn't deserve the violation notices, then you can send in an appeal.

Junior Rabbi is right. It does happen, just not too often. I do know one person who had it done, but they deleted him over the weekend again. He was back for about a month after they gave him his account back. I think if somebody here really wants you gone, it won't matter if you get your account back. It really sucks.
