No. Politics is politics.
He did the President's bidding, now he's paying for it. They'll all be out of a job in January 2009 anyway. The next President, Republican or Democrat, will install all new people (to do his/her bidding).
I don't think anyone in politics is respected - even when/if they deserve it.

I'm not upset,it means he didn't have the balls to stand his ground.A pair of balls is the #1 thing you need when getting involved in politics.
