HOLLYWOOD star Owen Wilson has been rushed to hospital after cutting his wrists and taking a lot of pills during a suicide attempt at his Santa Monica house, according to the National Enquirer and Star Magazine.
The report claims that he was discovered by a family member who summoned help.
Police and an ambulance responded to a 911 call from Owen's house around noon on Sunday and witnesses claims that his wrist was sutured and bandaged at the hospital.
Gossip website TMZ released this statement from Santa Monica Police:
"On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12.10pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street.
The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated." TMZ has learned the 911 call came in at 11.59am to the L.A. Fire Department.
That's sad! He seems like such a "fun" guy!

Well, It just shows you that you never know what goes on behind closed doors.. We all think these celeb's have such wonderful lives, obviously not the case here.. Hopefully he will overcome his demons and make a movie as good as Wedding Crashers!

Just saw it and wondered what was wrong - he always seemed chirpy to the public. Then again some of these 'comedy' guys are known to have a darker side - Jim Carrey was another one, if I remember correctly, although he never went to such an extreme

OMG i didn't hear about this! i am soo sad..i really hopes he gets over his suicidal thoughts and gets better! I LOVE THIS GUY! he is like an awsome funny guy! i love all of his movies! he seems like he would be one of those ppl who would just cheer up someone when they are down and stuff..idk what 2 think about any of these ppl. i mean look at Britney spears...we all thought she was soo innocent but look at her she is in rehab and a druggie and she cut all of her hair off.

Well you know, celebrities go through a lot of pressure. But, he probably didn't have it as bad as Lindsay Lohan who is ALWAYS in the tabloids. Whatever.
