How many times should he go around to mow one half of the lawn?

Randy and his sister agreed that they would each mow one-half of the lawn. The lawnis 25' x 45' rectangle. The lawn mower cuts a path two feet wide. Randy starts at one corner and mows a path completely around the outside.

Lawn is 25' by 45' = 1125'

First time around he mows 1125' - (21*41) = 1125-861 = 264'
Second time he mows 861' - (17*37) = 232'
Third time he mows 629 - (13*33) = 200'

Half of 1125 is 562.5.
He needs to mow 264 + 232 + 200x = 562.5
496 + 200x = 562.5
66.5 = 200x
x = .3325

He needs to mow all the way around twice and about 1/3 the way around the third time.
