NO. NO. NO. I sounds good in theory but they would rather have their 1st overall pick. There was a reason they drafted him. If a trade was to occur, i would include Daunte Culpepper, not first overall JaMarcus Russle

It would be great for the Falcons but terrible for the Raiders. Culpepper is old and coming off major injuries. He will be a good stop-gap QB but he is no longer a star and he is not the future. McCown is okay but he is a career journeyman for a reason.
The Raiders spent the 1st pick in the draft on Russell because they believe he can be an all-world QB. Most draft pick QB's do not start their first year anyway. They picked up Culpepper to be the starter until Russell is ready. They need to continue to negotiate the contract until it is resolved and start preparing Russell for next year. Only consider a trade if it becomes obvious that the two sides will never agree and then demand absolute top compensation.

Thats not bad thinking, and with all that money they could get back from vick's signing bonus will be a huge deal, but the big problem is the falcons have nothing to trade. The could trade Joe Horn, and a first round draft pick and then they are back to square one and no one for him to throw the ball to. So I don't think coming to an agreement with russel would be hard, but finding out a way to get him would be the difficult part. That and the Raiders will come to a deal with him, because I dont think they are going to rebuild there franchise with Culpepper. he will just be a band-aid for a coupled years while russell get prepared

that trade doesn't sound too bad. falcons won't get far with harrington. raiders are ok with culpepper and mccown is actually not bad. but what do the falcons have to give? the #1 selection of the 2007 draft is worth a lot. i'm not sure the falcons are willing to give up the draft picks or players especially when their minds is still on the vick situation. they say they have put it behind them, but you know that is not true...

Oh hell no. Sorry, but despite the holdout, Russell will be a star. And there's no way you're building a team around Josh McCown or Daunte.
Besides, the Falcons don't have anything worth getting in a trade except a crapload of picks.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Your right they don't want to build there team behind Harrington's. But I really cant count Michael Vick out at Atlanta. Maybe I am dreaming!who knows. The owner didn't remove him from the team today after the press conference today because if he did he couldn't recoup all the moneys he signed for. But after they get it then I think hes gone!!!!!!!!I wonder if Russell think hes that good that he can keep holding out?

I am really starting to wonder if Jamarcus really wants to play with the Raiders ?? I am sure he knows as well as many others that the Raiders are going to be a Crap organization as long as Al Davis is alive and calling the shots .

itz in basic terms preseason and culpepper to russell could be an acceptable shift... why might the raiders screw this one up tooo (rhetorical)... as for the question i think of they could commerce the rights.... yet there might may be the inclusion of a strange supplementary draft alternatives to flow long with the addition of the deal from the nfl... (no longer a a hundred% particular approximately that, yet i think of its the way it relatively works)

They can now that Culpepper seems to be himself again. The Falcons are use to a running guy at QB and for a 6'6'' 265 lb QB he can run.
