Mines gone, but i don't mind not having one.
some people really deserve theres and some people never got a top contributor badge even thought they deserved it.

Yes they did! And after all your hard work! It's a conspiracy like you said. It happened sometime last night. With the negative stigma attached to having the badge, I don't know if I want mine back.
Everyone is talking about having 10% Best Answers in a category, but that's a little difficult to calculate if you answer questions in a multiple categories. I wouldn't worry about it though. Just have fun asking and answering questions! If you can help someone out in the process the rest is gravy!

Last time people lost badges, Yahoo was determining who was supposed to have them and that was on a Monday, too.
I have seen some badges around yet, just not as many.

I used to be Top Contributor for Biology, then one day I checked and they had removed it to give me P&S instead.... why, I will never get it, I have far more Best Answers in Biology than in here.....

Yes, about a month ago. They took away my P&S orange badge. I am still answering a lot of questions, maintaining over 10 percent best answers. I don't get it.

Apparently you have to stay at certain level of best answers (like 10% or more) and if answer a lot of questions without getting chosen, the Top Contributor thing goes away.

Mine was gone first thing when I got up this morning. As far as I know, ONLY P&S TC's don't have badges...........at least for right now.
