Ohio - Anybody under 18 or who has had their endorsement less than a year has to wear a helmet. If you are riding as a passenger with anybody who is required to wear a helmet, you have to wear one as well.

I'm not in favor of helmet laws at all. I choose to wear my helmet every single time I go out, but others choose not to and they should have every right to make that choice themselves, rather than the state requiring them to wear one. FWIW, I have the same opinion when it comes to seat belt laws as well.

Texas used to have a helmet law but it was overturned.

Although I would always wear a helmet, I think it should be left up to the individual motorcyclist. Freedom of choice.

I wish we had the same option with car seatbelts.
