Because there are some educated professionals out there that know that "Global Warming" is a bunch of crap.

The reason is obvious: Americans think that they are NOT responsible for global warming, that one country alone CANNOT affect global warming greatly, that cars that consume lots of petrol are cool, that having the american dream is a MUST, that what other countries think and do don't matter, that they are king, and the 'police' of the planet. How ironic.

and why? Often because Americans elect Conservatives which don't really care about much outside of America unless it affects their interests. Hopefully the entire Bush fiasco will persuade them to vote for Democrats.

Remember how we were often told that if we do not conserve our existing resources, there would be no resources left for future generations? Well, WE ARE THAT future generation. Oil will run out in 2030, and by then let's see if the US is still as cocky.

Global warming IS happening right HERE and NOW and if America does not face up to it, let's just hope that one day when we all die of global warming the US doesn't go crying to other countries saying: "Merkel!!! It's over!!!", and then it's curtains for the human race.

One reason might be because the United States isn't a continent in the first place. ;-)

There'll come a day when the entire planet will have no choice but to be energy efficient. Some people just don't believe that.

Peopleenjoy the benefits of oil consumption...

Neither are about to chenge their minds quickly...

Going Green costs, and means making a special effort... We're a long ways from making that necessary effort.

because politicans make too much money from private lobists who work for big nasty companies, not enought lobists from green companies. and for that matter why does it cost so much more to go green for yourself? shouldn't things that are more earth friendly be less costly?
