It means a biopsy was taken & the results indicate that for some reason, the area sampled did not capture the intended target. In this case, the Dr. should order another biopsy of the area to get a conclusive diagnosis. Hope this helps!

Well, a histologic sampling is a sample of body tissue for testing. If it is non-representative, I would guess that it is tissue that is not part of a mass being studied.

In other words, if you have a tumor, they might take samples of the tissue within the tumor, which would "represent" the tumor. Then they would take samples from outside the tumor, which is "non-representative."

Just an educated guess.

Histology is the microscopic structure of tissue, not sure about the non-representative part. Perhaps you should ask your doctor.
