Since I was about 14 (about 8 years ago) I've been having weird spells where I have 2-second flashbacks of something that never happened to me. As much as I try to remember I forget them literally seconds later. I've tried shouting out key words as the flashbacks happen but when I refer to those words later, they mean absolutely nothing.

I'm interested to know what this could be and if anyone else has this?

Funnily enough, Stallion, before I read your answer I asked another question specifying my other abilities which could be seen as psychic, such as dreams coming true.

Its a psychic power of some sort. You have to use an exact word thats happening in your flashback if you can. The thing is it could be someone in your family and or someone else you care about. Do your best to remember them becuase it could be signs of the future.

I'm a little puzzled by your question?!

If you are having 2 second flashbacks about things that haven't happened to you, how do you know they are 'Flashbacks' ?

How do you know that they aren't visions of something that's happening at exactly the time you are having the experience, or possibly even something that is yet to happen?

You then go on to say that a few seconds afterward, you have completely forgtten what the 'Flashback' was about.

If that is the case, how do you know that you actually had any such experience at all?

That being said, you also say that the 'Flashbacks' were not about anything that happened to you.

For you to be so sure that none of these things had happened to you, you must have some recollection of what they were about, otherwise how could you be so sure?

Your whole question is therefore full of inconsistances and self contradictions which are most curious and puzzling.

Perhaps you should ask one or more of your friends or family if they have noticed any strange behaviour from you, such as suddenly shouting out what must appear to them as being quite random words, and for no apparent reason.

If no one remembers you doing this, then it is likely that this whole episode of perceived experiences on your part, would seem to be entirely ficticious.

If of course someone does remember you're suddenly shouting out random words for no apparent reason, that could offer some confirmation of what you beleive is happening to you. On the other hand, it may just be that you are actually suffering from Tourette's Syndrome.

Either way, you should consider yourself very fortunate indeed, that this (or these), individuals are still prepared to associate with you.

Whatever the outcome of these deliberations, if the symptoms persist, get some qualified help!

The extra I examine by your question the extra I merely think of which you're great innovative. you're able to make a marvelous author, or poet, even a painter! those issues will possibly not remotely pastime you however the only peculiar element is which you're merely unexpectedly having them. i think of you're complicated strategies for day-dreaming, I fall into dreamland each and all the time, thinking of eventualities on your head that probable on no account did and on no account will ensue. the only with regards to actuality is they're so overwhelming which you cant shy away for them (for this reason why you're afraid of having one while you're using) sturdy success!

Have you taken any drugs? LSD is well-known to cause vivid flashbacks and, with repeated consumption, short-term memory loss.

edit: I was only trying to help ... jeez. That was me being normal. This is me being a smartarse:

Prone to bouts of rage as well eh. I think you should check yourself into a mental institution since you obviously belong in one.

I have to agree with stallion's response, but another thought that came to me was that it may possibly be past life recall. (I experienced a similar thing in the late 1980s, and since being regressively hypnotised I continue to have such 'visions'.)
