Imigration judges were hired based on thir positrion on Rowe v Wade. What happens to these incopetant clowns now? Foes the new AG commit to replace them with competant people and restore the quality of the DOJ?

They will continue collecting their inflated salaries until we vote the Republicans out. Then the Democrats will put their loonies, goonies and religious freaks in(well, maybe not as many religious freaks, but incompetents nonetheless). You need to realize that sanity, intelligence and ethics no longer apply to politics.

The ones who were political appointees will follow Gonzalez out. The civil servants will stay until they have to retire.The current appointees will probably be left in place until the next president takes office in 2009. The incoming President will appoint their replacements.

I'm not sure if any of them were confirmed by Congress because of that Patriot Act (why was it in there?) provision that allows for non confirmed appointments. I don't know if there's a confirmation process forthcoming (they dumped the provision), But if there is one, I don't see any of the bat sh$% ones surviving it.

This is a very scary point. But it doesn't suprise me. I don't think the words "standard of excellence" and "Bush administration" have anything in common.
