John howard has been voted in 3 times, on these occasions he used fear tactics to drive his personal power over Australians.
Apparently a lot of Aussies believed in him and actually voted Liberal to give howard government in these elections. I dont understand how dumb so many of us are to have actually believed in his crap, i never voted for Liberal and wouldnt even consider it while their policies include ripping apart my basic human rights in the workplace.

Howard even told us he was going to reform workplace laws and the majority of Aussies still voted liberal for him to basically do what he likes. The last election was basically a referendum on workplace laws, he asked us to chose him to reform the laws and we said yes, and most Aussies voted to get fcuked up the @ss by him with these new laws, how dumb are the people who voted liberal????thats my question!
What gets me is exactly that, who would vote to be treated like a slave at work, nobody in their right mind, but still so many uneducated suckers in this country believed he would look after them.
Johnny you suck!!!!! I never voted for you and never will. You suck.

Had a great laugh watching Joe Hockey on sunrise this morning. He said, "Kevin Rudd would do anything to win the next election and just watch how much Labour will be spending on TV advertising once the election is announced."
We already know that is true of Howard with his ridiculous move on the hospital in Tassie and the things he has come up with just prior to elections in the past, but the bit about advertising is the last straw. They have been spending public money on that for months in the guise of informing the public. Does he think we are all stupid?
I nearly forgot to answer your question and I think that can best be done by using the old saying, "You can fool some of the people some of the time etc. etc."

The Liberals get voted back in because John Howard knows how to get people sucked in - with money and fear. At last I think, and hope that people have finally woke up. Before every election he has thrown money around with all the forethought and economic responsibility of a drunken sailor trying to get people to vote for his party. This latest effort with the hospital in Tasmania, children in Northern Territory and WA Aboriginal communities and this massive advertising campaign trying to sell his IR laws is just NOT working.
So hopefully we have at last seen the end of the Howard Liberal regime and we can let a little fresh air into the Australian government.

People will only change their vote once interest rates go up or pay cheques go down. Most people don't give a damn about bigger issues and only care about the money in their own pocket.

Plus, Teflon John has an amazing ability to cover up his lies and incompetence with an intricate web of political spin. I've never seen another politician get away with such mismanagement, incompetence and lies.

Because he's an Evil Genius...
And full of his own power (Rupert Murdoch the boss of the Media did warn him to retire gracefully last year)...

And because most Australians are now so obsessed with their mortgages and full of fear... they need to read some Ross Gittins economic commentary to balance out all the government propaganda press releases they read on the front page of the newspaper:

Three reasons:
1. No credible opposition (until now.)
2. Marginal seats are struggling on mortages and he lies about his economic management credentials.
3. Carefully orchestrated security fears. Anyone seen any boat people lately?

I like your question, it is something I've been asking people for years now. The weird thing is I'm yet to meet anyone that has voted for him or will admit to voting for him.
My guess is that he is a very clever lier.

... let's not forget we don't have a true democracy, at best we have an illusion of choice... that and the electorate is selfish and greedy, also it seems particularly forgetful and easily duped. some would say mindless.
tbh, if anybody really gave a **** there would be revolution, not compliance.

vote if it makes you feel better, just understand that having no bill of rights (you need money to defend your "common law rights" in aus), and a constitution that was drawn up to describe the country in purely economic terms is at odds with what most people understand australia to be....
