I had a dream that was so real and vivid. I dreamt that I was in the living room with my mom, dad, and sister. I could have told you anything about them . . . what we were wearing, where we were sitting, what was outiside of the window, what was on TV, what the people on the TV were wearing etc . . . then there was an earthquake and I woke up.
A few days later, we were all sitting in our living room and we had a real earthquake, just like in my dream.
I was only about seven and quite disturbed (to tears) by the whole thing. Luckily, no damage or loss of life resulted.

The first dream I can remember (when I was about seven years old) was also a nightmare ..... I was in a huge cavern running down some spiral stone steps with a man in a black hooded cloak chasing me shouting that I was his and he was going to get me, I was running for ages until a big hand came out of 'the light' and pulled me to safety.
About ten years later, I became a Christian and pigeon-holed The Dream as being prophetic.

This dream didn't stay with me for days but for over 30 years now... When I was 8 years old, I repeatedly dreamt that I was running from something and I would run into my closet and curl up in a ball and cover my head.. my back would always be to my closet door.. then the door would open and I could feel an axe being slammed into my spine over and over and whenever I looked up at the axeman, it was always my father.
Not sure why this dream haunted me, my father was never violent!

The one where I dreamt my own death...it's the only dream I ever had in full vivid color and 13 years later I still remember every detail of that dream! (I had dreamt I was crushed by a car and then had some strange woman standing over me chanting something in gibberish while I was dying. The second I died in the dream I woke up. It was so freaky!)

I saw a movie once where 2 people had been scuba diving and came up to fast. They were put into coffin (my take) like things that fed them oxygen so they wouldn't get the bends. Here they are locked into these machines and their boat was hit by another boat and both of the machines were knocked off of the boat they were on and went into the Ocean. I had nightmares about this for years!

When I was a kid I had a nightmare, I saw my dad burying dead bodies.
I had one recently where I saw myself walk into my backyard and saw my 2 1/2 year old cousin drown in the pool. This ate at me so much I woke up crying and cried myself to sleep a few nights because I was afraid to go to sleep and see that again.

The most vivid nightmare I have ever had.
I am laying in bed with the window slightly open when a dark figure comes in and slices my throat open. I stumble downstairs to the family and friends that have gathered, begging for their help. My Dad hands me a pristine white towel and tells me to wrap it around my neck, which I do, but the blood seeps through, so I change it for another white towel. This goes on forever, but I am scared so I stumble into the street begging passersby for help, but they keep handing me these towels.
It was very scary at the time.

I guess the most disturbing was the dream where I opened up the closet door and a man came out of the closet with a hatchet. I woke up just before the hatchet hit my skull.

My brother broke up with his girlfriend recently, and we were all really close. He was with her for about 6 years, but then she wanted to get married and my brother got a bit scared and backed out of the relationship.
I had this extremely scary dream where he was looking dead in the kitchen one day..so I asked him what's wrong..it took a while for him to answer, but he eventually burst out at me that he killed and buried her in my mom's garden. My heart just stopped!
I was really devasted.I don't remember what happened afterwards, but I was so freaked out I couldn't sleep in my room for a week..that just made his breakup with her so much more hard to deal with.=(
