For you people who choose to HIDE your questions and answers-why do you do it? I ask because often when I see?

Question

an answer that I like, I go to their profile to seek out more of their responses or questions and when they are blocked it is a frustration to the very nature of what yahoo answers seems to represent. It feels like hitting a wall.
It almost makes me want to do a survey of who blocks their stuff and who doesn't and what that says about the differences in personalities/character, etc. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

i recently blocked mine, only my contacts can get into my questions because of the troll patrol guys. they get into your questions and make nasty remarks , report you just to report you, and harass you to join the patrol. or there's other people that are just mean and trying to take the fun out answers; this way, with only my contacts able to view my questions and see my other contacts, everyone is safe , me and my contacts. in short, it's to save me and my contacts grief. try becoming a persons fan, if they like your profile and have seen your answers before, they will add you and you can see there questions. you're already my contact, i don't see many answers from you though!☺

this is why i recently did it. there are trolls that go into your Q&As. they start hitting the report abuse button on your questions or answers. Y!A is a robot and when it sees these red flags, it will delete the question or answer without investigating whether it was truly a violation.
i had 5 questions removed 2 from several months ago. you lose points.
if your Q&As are set to private the trolls can't read them unless they become a contact. (which is why i never accept someone with a new account)
getting violations for no reason is bad enough, but there is now a troll patrol with lots of members. if they start violating people, Y!A sees a lot of red flags and accounts get deleted. (i think there are 2 troll patrols. 1 good and 1 bad)

I've been enormously disappointed, too, at not finding more of their responses and questions but I understand that at some point someone reported them for violations or deletion for no good reason and they designated their site as private to avoid those people. It's sad that it has to come to this because I have four or five favorites I love. Oh, well....

we hide our history, because at some point, somebody from around here will report every single question and answer you have ever written to get you suspended. you then, lose all your points and have to start over. until Yahoo can figure out the glitch, we want to keep our points.

i do it because i have had accounts suspended and i don't want those responsible to go back and send in violations to my old questions...this was done several times to me....so now I hide. I too like to check other peoples answers and questions and I feel bad that this had to be done.....sorry and I hope you understand.

I don't think it is only trolls. I think it is people who share their computer with other family members who are seeking some sort of privacy.

I know! Its stupid and there are sooooo many ppls other questions or answers I wanna see coz I like what they asked or how they answered. Dont worry; my answeres and questions are open for anyone to see.

i have family members that use this site and i have answered some questions that i don't want them seeing my answers to. questions such as "whats one of your secrets" and some things in the health section that my little brothers don't need to know.

It's not you I'm hiding them from. Both my kids are on YA, and they don't need to be up my butt about the things I discuss online.

i have no prob. with people reading my questions and answers.......other than my parents. and that would be why my Q and A's are blocked from the public.
