No. To meet the standard for a suit, which would be defamation of charactor is a very big burden and you would need to prove not only malicious intent, but also that the malicous intent irrevocablly damaged your reputation to the point where you sufferred monetary damages...liked being fired from your job.

I believe so, it's a form of "deflamation of character" and you could sue someone on these grounds.
