I try to do it fast at first, and then slow.
I have Type 1 Diabetes, so I have to do this every three days. I'm terrified of needles so starting fast and slowing down to calm myself down helps a lot.

I get dizzy when I see a needle, even if I know it's not for me. I prefer it to be slow, while I'm not looking and clutching the arm of the chair.
