My daughter had an auto accident and kept duct taping plastic over the broken window for a year till we sold the car. She also painted me a picture and made a frame out of duct tape. It's hanging above the kitchen sink now. I admit I've never been creative with duct tape.

When I was a critical care nurse, I tied a roll of duct tape to my utility belt and used it for EVERYTHING. I think I was the nurse who first started taping tools and equipment on the wall by patients' beds. Everyone thought I was crazy. I used it as a first responder at accident scenes to immobilize cervical spine injuries and fractured limbs. I once used it to immobilize a horse who was injured in an accident while being transported in a trailer that got hit by a truck. And, I have had cars pretty much held together in one way or another by pantyhose and duct tape. : ) Fun question.

Duct tape dresses are awesome, and I've used it to completely cover a page in a scrapbook as the background. It makes excellent punk jewelry for the broke girl. But as for real around-the-home use? I bought some extra-wide last night to cover a hole in my tent (some stupid kids thought it was funny to slash it). I've used it as a wart remover(it really works) on everyone in my family. The side door on our van was overlapping the front door last summer, so I taped it shut. And I sometimes put some on the floor for the kitten to get stuck to... I know that's bad. Heh.

I use duct tape to fix the hose on the blower to my saw at work. I also use it to tape cords to the floor when they are in a place where they may get tripped over. I used it to tape plastic over a broken window on my car too.

Oh, duct tape is good for sooooooo many things. Use it to hold up wood, tape a pipe, fit or join things together to invent a creation like a rack, hold on pipe insulation to keep pipes form freezing, a temporary hinge, holding poster boards together, keep drawers together, strengthen boxes, backs of picture frames to hold the pictures in, wiring, straighten book bindings, repairing torn screen on windows or doors, drawing a splinter out of your skin, Using for a band aid, giving protection from splinters by wrapping tool handles with it, helps with costuming, props, staging, marking positions on stage for dancers or performers, mechanical or automotive fixes, strengthening fabrics on chairs and other furniture pieces, gardening tools re-enforcing handles, mending laundry baskets, and a multitude of other projects. Duct tape is good for almost everything!

Although I have never done this myself, I have read that duct tape is better than a band-aid for cuts. It keeps the skin together to heal better.

As a lesbian, I can only say that duct tape has plenty of uses out of the ordinary. I will leave it up to your imagination.

I've used it to repair seats on lawn mowers, chairs and cars, to patch screens, as webbing on a sofa to support the back cushions, and to mark luggage so it's easy to find at the airport.

I don't see duct tape as a man's tool at all...Tools are for performing tasks, regardless of the gender of the person using them. But hey, it was fun to answer the question!

Taping the mouths of men who seriously think that duct tape is a man's tool.

Just kidding. I used it to turn an old shirt into a costume for a movie.
