For many years now, activists and people in the patriot community have been warning Americans about an emerging new world order. However, many of these individuals have a very poor understanding of the definition of the new world order. The new world order is not a monolithic conspiracy controlled by reptilian men from Zeta Reticuli or Jesuits hidden in the dark bowels of the Vatican. Instead, it is a reconfiguration of global civilization along oligarchical contours. Many methods are employed by the power elite to accomplish this reconfiguration. One of the methods used is known as disaster capitalism.

Disaster capitalism has nothing to do with Americanism or free enterprise. It is merely a recycling of the same plan used by revolutionaries, secret societies, and subversive movements going back at least as far as the Illuminati. Nesta Webster described this plan as "the systematic attempt to create grievances in order to exploit them" (31). According to Naomi Klein, disaster capitalism "uses the desperation and fear created by catastrophe to engage in radical social and economic engineering" (no pagination). All of this goes on under the guise of "reconstruction." However, Shalmali Guttal, a researcher with Focus on the Global South has warned the "reconstruction" is merely a euphemism, stating: "It's not reconstruction at all--it's about reshaping everything" (no pagination). Everything is reshaped to fit the colonial model of the new world order that the power elite desire to see realized

"I think there are 25,000 individuals that have used offices of powers, and they are in our Universities and they are in our Congresses, and they believe in One World Government. And if you believe in One World Government, then you are talking about undermining National Sovereignty and you are talking about setting up something that you could well call a Dictatorship - and those plans are there!"
Congressman Ron Paul at an event near Austin, Texas on August 30th, 2003

Thanks for your very eloquent essay Jess.

You see many Americans are like the poor souls who were on the Titanic,,,,they thought all was well and nothing could sink this un-sinkable ship. The ship builders guaranteed its sea-worthy-ness.

Well, Ron Paul has been in congress for 31 years & sees trouble ahead for America, if it continues on its political course, of streight ahead into the iceburg {abyss}

I'm with you, we MUST wake Americans up enough to get Ron Paul elected!
Thank you.

Why should we care about a NWO when Michael Vick is on trial for dogfighting??!?

Seriously though, did you write those first two paragraphs? They're eloquent and telling.

What can we do? Well first of all, how many people do you know that could even understand those first two paragraphs, let alone contribute to them? I'm attending one of the best public universities in the country right now, and I don't know many people who could contribute a lot to this discussion. I'm one of them. I spend all my time studying mental health and illness, not political science. Most of those intellectually capable of recognizing these troubling patterns spend all their time focusing on whatever hyperspecialized academic or professional pursuit will land them a high-paying job.

I think our needs are unfulfillable without a more educated and intuitive populace. How can you foster intuition in people who still believe politicians are at all genuine, who have not even mastered grammar let alone abstract, systemic societal-level concepts? How do you convince a patriot that there is any such thing as a New World Order via this concept of "disaster capitalism" without being disregarded as a pinko conspiracy theorist?

I'm a pessimist. I think we will have to face a major catastrophe before people will be motivated to think about what's really wrong with the world. Today, we're paying homage to our Xbox, our TV, our laptops and our cell phones. We have too many distractions to care about who's behind the curtain. We have food on our tables and most of us still have jobs. When that changes, more people will have reasons to think on macro-levels.

The same thing American citizens did when it came to congress voting on the ridiculous amnesty bill... Tie up the phone lines in protest!!!

But looking at the link Brave Heart provided us... It is a scary thought. That's why we need Ron Paul in office.

I am pretty sure there is people behind this NWO and will try to make it work...those fukers can try to pull something out, but they wont succeed, the world wont let them. People need to think outside the box and open their eyes; the American government has crazy plans, but our weapon to fight them is knowledge! Let people around you know what is going on! I wouldn't doubt that AIDS, 9/11, UN, Homeland Security, Concentration camps, etc have all been planned steps towards NWO

The funny guys that claim "tin foil hats" and looney people will be the death of America. The facts are right there in their face and they refuse to even look.

Ron Paul should be in a loony bin and so should you. What you are both suffering from is called paranoia, which is basically the fear that some unknown and highly organized force is out to get you.

You are making the classic error of presuming capitalism's innate chaos, pathology and incompetence as somehow planned to some dark secret end.

It would be similar to making the error that the board of directors of General Motors really DOES know what it is doing but is lulling the Japanese into complacency by building crappy American cars. Once the Japanese are asleep, GM will strike and make a car that starts in the morning.

America wants to 'be' the New World Order. World domination is their aim

Maybe we should all go to Capitol Hill and all the major corporations and have an anti-New World Order protest. No violence, just rallies and speeches. Thanks!

The US is doing a good job of fighting it. The UN is the only international organization of its kind, and it sucks.
