What causes a pretty girl to have personality problems?

We wanted to be her friend, but it just didn't work out. She use to be very social and sweet last year and now she is distant from the majority of people from our major. She doesn't trust us? Personality problem on her part? I guess there are some cultural differences. My girlfriends sometimes gave her dirty looks and other days they were nice. She ignores us. And I know she is really sensitive. She sits on one side of the classroom and all of us the other. How can someone be like that? Should she ignore us. We don't come from the same world. We see her almost everyday and it is awkward. She has become sooo cold.

What do one's looks have to do with her personality? Are pretty girls somehow exempt from the problems the rest of us face? Get over her looks and treat her kindly, like a normal human being would lik to be treated. Lose the dirty looks, too. Would you trust people who gave dirty looks some days and kind ones on other days? I sure wouldn't. I'd want to keep my distance and see what these strange folk were up to.

if it is just because she is quiet and keeps to herself, it is not a personality problem....
we are all different - that does not mean others that are not the 'same' as us have problems...
she could be an introvert
she could be going through something personal at home
her mother or father may be dying of cancer
she may have been hurt very badly emotionally and has to take the time to heal
she may be very sad
she may be not willing to open herself up for many, many, many reasons

If you would like to be a FRIEND, you could gently and caringly talk to her.
Allow her to feel safe and encourage her to have lunch with you etc...
there are many things you could do - but don't point fingers anywhere because that will get you nowhere but her pulling even futher away

Maybe something you did or say directly to her or indirectly.
Pretty women tend to be more suspicious of the crowds that
want to hang around her. She is probably taking psychology
and notices body language and how people talk. The words
they use etc. I wouldn't bother with her. Maybe she is stuck
up and wants something else in life. I would let it at that, the
more you insist the colder she will get. Let it go she has no
personality problem she just doesn't want to deal with you
guys. Leave her alone and maybe she will react.

Well if your friends give her dirty looks, what do you expect. Would you like to be treated that way? I wouldn't. Something must have happened between last year and this year that you don't know about. Did you ever think of asking her by yourself? Maybe your friends did something to her.

well I had this freind once, she was pretty, sweet and enjoyable to have around, but as she met male freinds and acted like this, they always thought she was coming on to them! to counteract this, she also became cold and heartless, then It stuck with her and she used this new personality with her female freinds.
