Horrible. Both the mascot and its name, sounds like a gay Irish porn star (not that there's anything wrong with that). The Steelers have a ton of traditions, all of them football. No cheerleaders, no mascot. (Yeah, I know they've briefly tried in the past, tried being the operative word.) The only thing we need other than football is our Terrible Towels. In five days they make their final cuts, I hope Steely is one of them.

I hate the idea. Hopefully Rooney will see this and realize it is a terrible idea. I always took pride in the fact that the Steelers did not have a mascot or any of that stuff. But I can not say that today. Not only is a terrible idea and a terrible design but its a bad name. What the heck? Steely McBeam? There are not many things that Rooneys do that makes me angry. This is one of them however. They lasted 75 years without a mascot I think they could survive another 75 without one too

The Mascot is dumb. For 75 years the Steelers have survived without a mascot. Past attempts have been riviled as will this one. For the love of all things holy if the Steelers are going to change a tradition why not incorporating cheerleaders in the game at least then I have something sexy to keep my attention as opposed to something hideous.

I can't stand that thing. I know it's the 75th anniversary and they wanted it to be special, but they should have known from previous attempts at a mascot that we Steelers fans do not like them. I heard that they booed him at half-time at last night's game.

As a Steelers fan, I don't like him. If you poll 100 Steelers fans, probably 95 don't like him either. I think they have unofficially gotten rid of him because I haven't seen him for weeks.

Someone lost a bet, or someone flipped a coin and lost. I don't like him. After a few beers they (mascots) get kinda cool looking.

Its a stupid mascot...I think mascots are pretty dumb anyway. They are cool in college football but are they really needed in pro football?
