Constellations are the patterns the stars we see make in the sky. Constellations aren't real things so they can't be anywhere. The stars we see at night are all in the Milky Way (with the exception of a few fuzzy patches in the sky that are galaxies of their own).

Now there is a Carina Dwarf Galaxy, about 360,000 light years away (it appears in the constellation Carina), and it is a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way.

Keep in mind that constellations don't really exist. There is usually no connection whatsoever between stars we choose to put into the same constellation. It's just humans drawing arbitrary lines to make familiar shapes in the sky. However, constellations are useful for remembering star positions.

Also keep in mind that if a star was not in the Milky Way, we would not be able to see it as a single point of light, so it would not be part of any constellation. Therefore, all the stars that make up Carina are part of the Milky Way.

You're already farther from the correct answer than you think!

Constellations are not in galaxies. All constellations, and all visible stars, are in our own galaxy, the Milky Way.

There are innumerable galaxies in the heavens, almost all of which you need a telescope to see.

You may be thinking of the brilliant star Canopus, second-brightest in all the sky. You can see it anywhere from Tennessee south, but it is a star, not a galaxy. And it's securely in the Milky Way.
