It is exactly that, because you have no control. Don't worry about things you have no control over. There is nothing you can do about those things or events, they will happen as planned, and the sooner you realize that, the less stressed you will be. It will be a tremendous weight off of your shoulders, and to be perfectly honest, by now, haven't you realized that worrying about such things doesn't change them? Have courage in yourself. You'll either be right or wrong, you can't be anything else!

All ppl tend to have some mild form of OCD with outcomes driven activities- doing the "mental rewind" after dates or job interviews, presentations etc. where what you do reflects on you personally toward some desired goal.
It only becomes a problem when this sort of introspection occurs for everyday meaningless activities. Ppl who do this generally either have a higher level of OCD, social phobia , or low self-esteem that forces you to over-analyze whether someone thought well or ill of you after every interaction.
If you feel a general sense of impending doom or uncontrollable anxiety about the future for no real reason, then you might have a mild grade panic disorder.
Either way, understand that some of this is normal- everybody stresses for some dumb thing or the other. Its better to sit down and reflect if you have any unresolved problems that are subconsciously nagging you. If nothing seems to be amiss and this is really affecting your well-being, then seek the advice of a specialist.

Well just know that we all worry, a lot, but we can't all tell how we're feeling inside. It's like some people have an overactive mind/imagination that is somehow getting the best of them.

overreaction tends to be because the event/person/thing reminds the 'overreactor of someone or something in the past that they have had a bad experience with. the feelings from that time period flood to the present and they overreact.

The Bible tell us not to be anxious for anything. Fear comes from the devil who comes to rob, steal and destroy us.
What you need is a closer relationship with God. Not having that relationship makes people not trust that God cares for them and makes them insecure.
You could be an over sensitive person. You might need counseling to help with this obsession and insecurity. Why not give it a try?

OCD? I know when I was younger, I had a little bit of OCD but overcame it somehow. Now, I under-react to things.
