I think it is the Pittsburgh penguins with players like Crosby,Malkin,Staal, and now the new addition of esposito. They already form a potent team that consists of four solid lines which are capable of competing against the top lines of other teams. They have a good mix between veterans (roberts, sykora, recchi, gonchar) and youngsters ( crosby, malkin, staal, fleury, armstrong, orpik). the management also knows how to develop their youth into promising hockey men. When the youngsters mature in a couple of years, they will definately be one of the top five teams

Western Conference:
Detroit Red Wings
Eastern Conference:
Ottawa Senators
Stanley Cup Finalists:
Too early to tell... The #1 seeds are always run down at the end! *cough Ottawa Detroit cough*
Don't count on the Penguins just yet, although watch for a huge breakthrough performance from Ryan Whitney!

The dead horse.
Have you seen their top line? Can you say stacked?
And check out whos in goal! The horse that lost its leg in the beating of 1896 might just be the best goaltender to ever put on the mask. And just imagine how sleek theyll look with the new jerseys!
drop the dismembered horse head already!

I expect a break-out season from the Swedish Bakini team. Some Good pick ups over the offseason...
Although the Dead horse seems to be unstopable...

Flyers..Pens...or whoever says 'their team is gonna win it all"... It's too early for that ...An easier question would have been "who isn't the best team in the NHL this year, or next year, or any year for that matter......"
DROP THE GLOVES ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
