become a performing/competitive/professional dancer?
And I am talking age wise...

I have noticed on this section of the yahoo answers that certain people want to become one of the above and then they mention their age and some of the answers suggest that its a bit too late.
I am 15 but i have been dancing to Ballroom, latin and hip hop for about a year. I did some all girl dance groups when I was younger but then I stopped and I grew up around a lot of Tejano Mexican dancing. I am currently a student at a dance studio in Tempe AZ.. but I am thinking about switching to another studio.

so in your opinion when is it "too late"?

It's never too late. You sound like you're very talented and motivated. Keep up the good work. You've already done a lot for 15, and you've only just begun. Good luck my little terpsichorean friend. (That's a fancy name for a dancer)...Good luck!

You're 15! You're still a pup. It sounds like you have a lot of training already. At 15 you probably have endless energy and you sound like you have the passion for it. You are in no way too late to aim for career in this. Don't look back in twenty years and wish you had gone for it when it might be too late then. I'm 50 and I look back (way too often) and wish I had followed my dream when I was your age. I wanted to be a "rock star" (who doesn't?) and I actually spent a lot of time learning how to play various instruments. I'm a pretty good guitarist and drummer but for various reasons being a "rock star" was always something I'd do "next year when_______". Now it's too late and I'll never know if I could've made it. Go for it, kiddo, and good luck.

Most of those answers are about ballet. Ballroom is famous for late starters (later than you) doing well.
