When I was in the 8th grade,I had a job through the school program tutoring Elementary students. This one little boy hated me for some reason. And all I could do was smile and pretend that everything was ok.Finally though the job got to be too much for me,and I had to quit, because I had marching band practice at 5 30,tutoring wasnt done until 4 and I literally had no time for sleep which I needed desperately.

My first job was working retail at Marshall's. It sucked. It only paid $6.50 an hour and they worked you eight hours a day and one could hardly even get restroom privileges. Plus, those customers just threw the clothes and shoes everywhere. In a way I'm glad I worked there because it taught me to be more empathetic toward people who work jobs like that. They have to put up with a lot for very little compensation.

I was doing my 40 hours community service at the hospital that's in the area. What sucks about it is that I was forced to do 64 hours and not even get paid for any of the time I did. But of course it's still considered a job since I had to work hard to keep myself awake the whole time.

When I signed up for several different things with the VA job department this is one question they asked out loud. And they asked this question individually of everyone in the room. When they came to me I answered with another question legal or illegal. The teacher then asked what job I had that was illegal. I said after I got out of the service in 1971 I got a job smuggling rum out of Jamaica and into Louisiana. He never bothered me again after that. First legal job was working for the local city street department as the jackhammer man. It paid $1.27per hour.

I was 16 years old and my first job was at a bagel shop. Worked there on weekends in the morning, like 7am! It was tough for a 16yo! Hahah! But it was fun and I made some cash and got tips. Oh, and me and this other guy who worked there had a thing for each other. We were flirting like crazyyyy1

Good Times! lol

Corn detasseler (Spell check doesn't help) A lot of us 15 yr old kids walked the corn fields taking the tassels off of the corn stalks thus making them female only. This causes cross pollination an thus a hybrid seed is created. Hard ,hot work for a dollar fifty an hour.
