no poems, all you have to do is react to stimuli, so do a little pantomime in which you enter a room and see something shocking and react to it. ta da acting.

Ever heard of charades? That's a form of pantomime where actions indeed speak louder than words. Or you could do a dialogue between two persons, with you playing the part of both people. Try telling a joke that way. Or you could do a soliloquy about an unrequited love. You can get really hammy doing that, or try a stand-up comic. There are all sorts of possibilities. Use your imagination and your sense of humor. Good luck!

Small tip: An actor does not act he reacts.

He reacts to the dialog, he reacts to the situation or he
reacts to the action. He reacts in any of the above manners or
all three. It depends on what is going on in that particular
scene.

Get a poem, read it. Then react to it. What does it mean? What does it say? Then think of a time in your life that you felt like that. Then read it again with that feeling as your center. Good luck!
