Truthfully there is nothing you can do at this point to stop the pain. I went through the same thing. The reason that you are in pain is because you have a stone that is blocking your bile duct...this causes extreme pain and an "attack". The solution to avoid attacks is avoid foods with significant amounts of fat. Because your gallbladder produces bile to break down fats and when u eat fat it causes your gallbladder to go into overdrive and possibly get a stone stuck. thats the most simple answer I can provide without going into further physiology or it.

ok i know how painful an attack can be and i hate to tell you this but there is no quick way to get the pain to ease up. i had attacks like yours for months not even knowing what it was but eventually i went to the emergency room and had a ultra sound done. ding-gallbladder stones and i know its the WORST pain ive felt so far and im only 21...I dont know if anything i did really worked but i know laying on your back made my pain ease a tiny bit n i took gas pills, mylanta and what seemed to work best was alka seltzer. Good luck girl i know its bad but after your surgery it will BE SO MUCH better. I cant believe i went that long in pain it'll be over soon.

As you know the pain will eventually subside. However, if you are interested in keeping all of your body parts, I have a recipe for a liver flush that will get rid of most of the stones. The surgeon I spoke with told me that there is nothing other than removing the gall bladder to get rid of the stones but I have found this to be untrue. I myself have done this liver flush and it worked for me. It is intended to be done once every 1-2 years depending on how often you need it. If you are interested please e-mail me by going to my profile and I will give you the info.
Btw, for the person who said that you will be better after the surgery, my mom had her gall bladder removed and still has problems. She still experiences the attacks and the doctors can't find an explanation.

Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Try these 3 things.
#1) Vinegar packs. Warm some vinegar in a pot, put in on a face cloth, and cover your gallbladder (upper right of abdomen)
#2) Alternating hot & cold. 2 face cloths, hot water for 3 min, ice water for 30sec, keep rotating.
#3) Castor oil packs. some castor oil on that area. (Watch out, oil stains clothes!)
Good luck.

I certainly have the comparable situation, waiting for an op. im taking omeprazole 20mg in keeping with day. it has helped enourmously. additionally i don't consume beef, dairy, fat or cake! those 4 issues are very risky! and not ingesting after 4pm or merely fruit in case you sense hungry ----- my typical practitioner suggested that if omeprazole made a great difference then that is not plenty the gallstones that are the subject, yet an overproduction of acid which aggravates the stones. and he does not want me to have a gall bladder operation purely to could desire to take omeprazole for the tummy acid afterwards. seems smart. im experimenting to work out if it works as he has suggested!

Utilize 20 minute rule. Eat the portion-controlled meal then, even if you think hungry afterwards, wait for 20 minutes and find out if you still do. Nine times outside of 10, you won’t. If one does, eat 10 per cent a lot more.

I agree wholeheartedly with the poster who suggested a liver flush. You can read helpful information about liver flushes--and see pictures of stones that were expelled after a liver flush-- at www.curezone.org. Find the Liver Flush community and then read the explanatory information they provide. My recommendation is to stick to the easiest flush you can find. Liver flushes have made an incredible difference in my life. I'm sure a good liver will bring relief quickly.

Reduce your own stress. Your stress hormone cortisol may be activated by extremely low-calorie eating plans, intense training, lack of snooze and day-to-day worries, which results in a spike in glucose levels in your blood. More worryingly, it can help with blocked arteries and fat build around your internal organs, putting you in danger of diabetes and heart disease. The one prescription for this is to… pass the time.
