The worst disease of all. A rope is tied around my heart.
Endless looping of my mind. Round and round and round..
When does this torture end? A hopeless battle of my conscience against this demon.
Weakness, hope, anger, shame.. Looping and looping.. The needle broke. Desperation is no longer just a word.
Unreturned love, the worst disease of all.
Now I understand the men that went insane. I now know the pain.

Look, just because you love someone, there is no guarantee or obligation for that person to reciprocate those feelings. Everyone gets their heart broken, and everyone feels bad for some time. Do you have any idea how many songs and poems and other art are based on that feeling? It is universal and inevitable. You need to press forward and move past this. There are many more people who are waiting for you to come into their lives and give them love! Don't waste your time on someone who does not appreciate you and what you have to offer!

I never thought of it as a rope. A rope is too inanimate. The pain I always thought was alive: a snake. Looping... looping. And it never gets bigger, only what it condenses gets smaller. Around my beating heard which is struggling to tremor a beat. My mind refuses to work around the snake.
The slithering snake. No hope. All worries. Just pain. And the snake just keeps dripping its poison. More and more and more just seems to drop and it will only get worse.

Optimism with a friend brought me out of my depression. The snake is gone, replaced by a scent of flowers and the poison has been blown away. I feel that I know what you are saying.
I just hope you find optimism too.
Optimism is such a small word though..
Hope is a better word, I guess..
Talk it out and you'll find your hope!! Trust me, it works.

I have known this feeling. It sounds like guilt. Time will distance you and dull it if you do not indulge and feed it. Examine your part in this , your heart , your motivations honestly and braveley.
