Even though I am from Kentucky, and I am sure the first restaurant that Colonol Sanders opened up probably had some swesome friedn chicken. It should never had expanded out to the chain it is now. I have heard they genetically engineer and breed their chickens to have extra large breasts and stuff so they get more dollars for each chicken. These chickens seem very gross to me to eat. They only just recently stopped using trans fat, but their food is still some of the most fattening in the business. I think some people are mislead too, because they think chicken is less fattening than beef.

I have to agree with you on McD's. I used to love their fries,
til they changed the oil and there is just no taste to them anymore. Or so it tastes less to me.
I haven't liked Burger King since the few times I've gone to
one. The food is like charbroiled cardboard and there is no
flavor to the burgers. Nor are the fries any good.
I don't like Wendys, for their poor quality fries, and the
square burgers don't satisfy my taste buds either, nor did
I ever think they were special just because of their square
shape.
We used to like Jack in the Box, but it has been tasting
less tasty as the years wear on. I know there was a great
store in Phoenix we were first introduced to. And we switched
from WhataBurger to them, due to the cost. Well they've
lost another couple of fans. If outlets aren't consistant, there
is always another to take their place. Some need to remind
themselves of the pride that the original owners had, when
they set up their food businesses, and turn things around.
A&W left our area, and maybe the state for all I know, about
35 years ago. And I did like a chili dog they made and a good
root beer float to go along with it.
I don't know, maybe as I get older I'm just getting more
picky than I was when I was young. Or have most of them
really slackened off on serving tasty food these days, and
skimping on this and that to save a buck?
I like the taste of an old fashioned burger out of the 50's
and 60's when a burger tasted like a burger. Without alot
of artificial enhancers. And I can find that usually in locally
owned franchises or privately owned burger shacks and
drive thrus, run by family owned operations. People that
care more about pleasing their customers, more than making
that all mighty dollar. Sometimes we've gone out of our way,
just to have one we know has the unseen stamp of perfection
that we know is going to tantalize our taste buds, so to speak.
I'm sure I could think of many more national chains if I thought
about it long enough. But we don't have all of them in our
town.

SOME OF THE FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS THAT I THINK SHOULD NOT BE : ARE PIZZA HUT, BOSTON CHICKEN, LONG JOHN SILVERS AND MORE. THE REASONS ARE THAT PIZZA HUT HAS THE PERSONAL PAN PIZZA'S WHICH ARE ALREADY PREPARED AND HARD TO EAT IN THE CAR (WHICH I DO) AS THEY ARE TOO GREASY. IF YOU EAT THERE INSIDE AT A REGULAR PIZZA HUT THAT'S TOTALLY, OK AS YOU CAN SIT DOWN, USE SILVERWARE NAPKINS ETC. BOSTON CHICKEN IS ANOTHER NO-NO. THE FOOD IS PREPARED IN ADVANCE AND IT'S TASTES OLD PLUS IT'S TOO MESSY AND EXPENSIVE FOR FAST FOOD. ANOTHER ONE IS KFC, THE CHICKEN PLACE, AFTER YOU ORDER THEY REPEAT THE ORDER AND PUT EVERYTHING IN ONE BAG, SLOPPILY AND GRAVY DRIPPING , AND ALSO TOO EXPENSIVE. WHEN I ORDER FAST FOOD, IT MEANS I WANT TO ORDER IT, PULL OVER AND PARK , EAT AND USE MY WET WIPES FOR MY HANDS AND CONTINUE ON WITH MY DAY, I SUPPOSE IF YOU ORDER FROM THE DRIVE THROUGH WHICH IS WHAT I DO, AND YOU TAKE THE FOOD HOME, IT'S DIFFERENT, BUT I DON'T DO THAT. WHITE CASTLE IS MY FAVORITE, AND MCDONALDS AND ARBY'S. HOPE THESE ANSWERS HELP SOMEONE. MARILYN B

McDonalds (even though the french fries there are like my guilty pleasure), Burger King, Carl's Jr, KFC, etc.
None of them should really have gone into business, actually. But they're fast and convenient, so maybe they could just make healthier food or something....

But that's like NEVER gonna happen, unfortunately......

McDonalds and Subway. Horrible service and crappy food.

McDonalds: I can fry my own low-quality burger, let it sit out on the counter for two hours and put it in a bag but minus the b*tchy service.

Subway: I can buy a loaf of french bread, put a tiny slice of meat and a bunch of brown iceberg lettuce in it without attitude from some snot-nosed kid.

McDonald's since they started they are the forefront of it all. Carl's Jr. for taking its portion sizes and calorie/fat content to extreme levels.
