How can one find the traces of porno if it has been viewed on the computer? For instance where exactly is the temp internet file that stores images? I know not to check the history, if my husband is looking at it he's smart enough to erase it. I need some hidden area where it could be stored. Can anyone help me?

Oh and btw...don't tell me any of the following because I don't want to hear it.

it's harmless
leave him alone and let him look
a little porn never hurt anyone
give him his privacy
or anything remotely close to any of the above

thanks :)

Hope this helps you catch him!

Open either Microsoft Internet Explorer or the Windows Control Panel.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu and choose the Internet Options... menu. In Control Panel. open the Internet Options list item. In either case, a new window titled "Internet Properties" appears.

In the Temporary Internet Files section of the Internet Properties window, click the "Settings..." button. A new "Settings" window appears.

In the "Settings" window, click the "View Files..." button. After a brief delay, a new Windows Explorer window appears. This window displays all of the Temporary Internet Files stored on the computer and their location on the local hard drive. The window also displays the URL where each temporary file came from.

When done viewing Temporary Internet Files, close each of the new windows created during this process.
Tips:

The list of Temporary Internet Files can be sorted by file name, URL (Internet Address), file type or size, and various dates.

Temporary Internet Files are different from Cookies and stored separately on the hard drive.

Temporary Internet Files can be deleted. The amount of space reserved for them on the local hard drive can be controlled. Their location on the local hard drive can also be changed.

Choosing the "View Objects..." option in Step 4 instead of the "View Files..." option allows Web application objects installed on the local hard drive to be viewed. Only advanced users should consider deleting any of these objects.

well some where in the registry u can find it but if u dont know what u are doin then that wont help. Usually like where u put your sites in on top click that errow type thing on top and if that comes up clean that means he is erasing that data. Are u talking about him saving images from the porn sites heck if he wanted to he could have that hidden in a invisible file its hard to say where he would put it. Have u asked him if he watches porn online? Or did u tell him not to and are checking on him thats cool to. I can guarantee if he is looking at porn try to run some of those free cleaners for spyware protection im sure it will pick up a trojan or something. spybot search and destroy is a good one to.

You can discover if you someone has conducted a search for online for adult sites, downloaded porn videos and viewed pictures by opening the internet history files. Often this data is erased before it can be viewed. The best way to track a person internet usage and history is to use a spy program. The site below will give you a bit more info.

Did you ever think that your husband came here and asked:

How do I look at porn and leave no trace of it so my wife can't find it?

If you really want to know, you can put a hidden spyware program on the computer.. some of it will actually take screenshots and send it to your e-mail. Also key logging program will reveal every word that he types so you will know what sites.

if your running on a Windows XP, make sure your folders shows the hidden files. then go to your My Computer, select your hard drive, then go to Documents and settings. Go to your account folder then you'll see a folder named Local settings. Click that, and you'll see the temporary files.

Well, if you think your husband's playing around porno, well, talk to him. I know this can be rude but, we all have a need for sex. If it is his way to cope up with that need, and you don't want that kind of thing, well, talk to him about some alternatives. =D
