What is the best type of wax to use on a black car?

Black cars are the worst when it comes to waxing, polishing and swirlmarks...I usually have a detail shop do it as they have the knowledge and products to make them look their best. Other than that, any good wax or polish like Meguiar's or such.

That is up to each individual. Every one has their preferences. I prefer Meguiars myself, Mother's is good also.
