I have been searching the all over the internet for information on this insect and I can't find any. I think, but I might be wrong, that this is a hornet. It has one pair of wings, its thorax is hairy, and its entire body is black except its abdomen is half orange and half black. Also its legs are orange too. It makes its nest or home in the ground and its body is about 1.0 inches long. I have been searching the internet for some time now for information on this insect but can't find any.

FYI - Kishore is incorrect in a single occasion: some bugs have in simple terms 3 ranges of their existence cycle. Egg, Nymph, grownup. a stable occasion is a Dragonfly. The grownup lays an egg. The egg hatches. The Nymph grows to adulthood. The Nymph crawls out of the water, and this is back splits open, and out climbs a sparkling grownup.
