It means atomic bomb. It would not mean anything else.

It means just that. It was a type of bomb developed by the US, in order to bring an end to the war in the Pacific, in 1945. There were 3 altogether--one was exploded in the New Mexico desert at 5:29 a.m on July 16, 1945. The fireball rose in the sky at 360 feet per second, and the characteristic mushroom cloud appeared at 30,00 feet. The light was so bright that citizens in a faraway town swore the sun rose twice that day, and also a blind girl saw the flash 120 miles away. The other two bombs were dropped on Hiroshima (Aug. 6) and Nagasaki (Aug.9), bringing an end to the war. In the treaty signed in September, Japan swore to never develop atomic/nuclear weapons to use against any other people.

It was the Atom, or A-Bomb, invented by Albert Einstein that was a nuclear/raido active bomb dropped on Heroshima(SP), Japan that successfully ended World War 2.

Other than the obvious, it is a name for violent, extrememly malodorous flatulence. It is the kind of thing that will make a driver stop a car so everyone can get out.
