I like most lands end kids stuff I hAve some terry excercise shorts whitch are pretty cute stay away from jackets and swim suits

i love their jackets/outerway, bags, scarves, etc. they are great for cold climate clothing. my most favorite stuff from Lands end is my long rain trench coat and bucket hat as well as my wool coat and leather cashmere lined gloves.
In the past I thought they were behind the times. I used to wear their polo shirts a lot. but stopped for awhle because they were too boxy and big. MOre like men's shirts. but they have started to come out with more slim fitting items.
i do think their quality has declined ever so slightly in the clothing when sears department store bought them a few years back.
Being in my early 30s, I don't really find much about their clothes not to like. their swim suits are the only thing I find to be a bit dowdy and boring. they have recently brought in some new fit styles in the jeans, which are much lower rise and not so "mom jean" looking.
As a store/catlog that caters mainly to preppies, I don't think it would really benefit from updating, since preppy is not about being up to date. It is a classic timeless style.
