What state of matter is lava in as it flows out a volcano?

3rd grade science is it one of them solid, gas or liquid?

Lava is a liquid. It is called magma when it is still inside the mountain. Sometimes a mountain top blows and throws up stones and gases.

liquid. It is a molten matter, of course when it cools it solidifies slowly and even, forms very well defined crystal structures or a true solid.

Liquid, it cools as it leaves thereby becoming solid.
