got a thumbs down when their answer was good. Read all the answers and see if you can figure this out because I sure can't. Do you think we have a new troll?

This question was actually on the senior citizen site just a couple of days ago which is the reason I placed it on here. It was a really sweet question asked by a young person.

I am the stupid one. I thought this was a young person asking the question. I was just concerned because of my good senior friends got thumbs down. I did not ask the question, and only one person did not have a thumbs down.
We seniors just trust a lot, I guess.

Grain of salt, I answered it -- often every answer gets a thumbs down in a second I know I don't answer if I don't know. I am not an advocate of say it with conviction and someone will believe it. I am opinionated at times which makes people edgy but oh well guess that's me.

You should put a link to the question on here because i missed that one. But, yeah I have noticed answers that are good getting a thumbs down all across the board before. It kinda sucks but does it really matter? As long as you get the answer that you need who cares what some troll thinks about it.

Well, in my kitchen, the only good okra is buried deep in a gumbo, where it actually tastes quite good.
My mother loved it fixed almost any way, but she was SO good about telling us "try it. If you don't like it, you don't have to eat it again." So I did and I didn't.
We learned to appreciate a great variety of foods with her philosophy, because nearly everything she cooked that I tried was good enough for seconds. Except the okra.

I didn't notice the question, but I've noticed a lot of thumbs downs .... doesn't appear to be any pattern to it.
Maybe someone just doesn't like fried, or pickled okra.
Major character flaw, someone not liking okra.

My family is from the south, and I have always loved the way my mom cooks okra. She cuts it into bite size pieces and coats it in seasoned flour or cornmeal, then pan fries it until it's brown and crispy. Sorry I didn't see the question you were talking about, though!

I answered one about okra by an older person. Couldn't find the other one so I must have missed that one.

I missed the question. Okra is ok fried, but I am a Northern boy, so this was foreign to most of us. Most northerners wouldn't know what to do with it.
