creationism is a movement created specifically to deny evolution. It is an affront to faith, and relies on many cult beliefs.
People of true faith do not fear science.
Evolution is a fact.

In science, we can only hypothesise, we can never be "certain" that life as it is developed from evolution rather than "created" as stated in creationism. We cannot be "sure" that life developed from evolution, but at the moment we can say, there is absense of evidence to disprove this hypothesis (in other words, this hypothesis fits in harmoniously with all other observations made of this world) so meanwhile we accept it as the current "truth" that is until some other evidence comes along and disproves it...
Creationism ( belief that God created universe: the belief that the Bible’s account of the Creation is literally true
Microsoft® Encarta® Reference Library definition) - i haven't studied the bible but if i'm correct the universe has been created in six days (god rested on the 7th) and that the universe at the moment is no more than a few thousand years old. The problem with taking this account is that it is not up for amendment no matter whatever new evidence we meet. We "know" the Earth is several billion years old because measurement of proportions of different radioactive isotopes found in the mantle, the behaviour and change in behaviour of these radioactive isotopes show that the age of the Earth is in the order of billions of years, while we are unable to provide the "exact" figure due to errors in measurements of the instruments we use - we can say: "accounting for the errors in our instruments, the probability that Earth is a few thousand years old is extremely low". In other words, we cannot say necessarily say creationism is "wrong", we can only say the probability of it being true is very low and that choosing to believe in it is similar to siding on myself wining the national lottery tomorrow rather than not.

Despite illogical postings on here, they don't really have anything to do with each other.
Evolution is a fact. It is proven. As with any science, everything isn't known, and detailed understandings will change over time. But the basics are there for anyone to see who wants to follow the example of scientists.
Evolution neither proves nor disproves creationism. It doesn't explain creation. It explains evolution.

I do not need a " take . " The science of evolution, or evolution by natural selection is well supported by the evidence, thus convincing me of it's validity. Creationism has not a scintilla of evidence in support of it.
There is no, creationism vs, evolution; except in the minds of the delusional.

I don't know what you are really getting at by asking this question but there is not one single solitary shred of evidence to support creationism (other than the Bible which is riddled with contradictions) and there is a mass of hard evidence to suggest that evolution is essentially correct.

You want my take, I see. I believe that evolution does not contradict with creation. If you have enough sense to ignore the secularists with no lives showing their religious ignorance and intolerance, you would see my point. The bible only skims over how everything was made. Evolution explains all the process. IF you really think about it, evolution also talked about planets forming, then water forming, then plants, and then animals, and then humans. SAME FOR BIBLICAL EXPLANATION. see my point?
P.S.
TO ALL YOU DAM SECULARISTS WITH NO LIVES POSTING UR RELIGIOUS STUPIDITY AND YOUR IGNORANT ARROGANCE, UP YOURS U DAM FOOLS. im being honest, dont report (1st ammendment rights)
have a nice day. =)

Evolution depends on evidence, wheras creationism depends on belief.
Either way, I'm too busy with my life to concern myself with either.

Cause there's loads of evidence for evolution and we observe it happening in species all the time. Whereas creation is just one of humans' arcane myths.

creationism is a theory pure and simple. there is no solid evidence to support it.
while they say "the theory of evolution" there is actually real scientific evidence to support it.
its religion vs science. theory vs scientific study.
anyone who tries to claim creationism as a scientific theory, clearly doesn't understand the definition of science.
i don't care if people want to believe in any particular religion or element of religious thought, but i do care if they want to teach it as a scientific fact.

It really drives me mental. I cannot believe the blindness of seemingly intelligent people. How can people ignore facts and even knowing them, answer implausibly. My mum now is into mediums and psychics and that is also driving me mental.
