i appreciate it

here is the e-amil:

*Two moons on 27th

August 2007*

*27th August; the day the Whole World is waiting for ......

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will culminate

on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65 Million miles of earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth

has 2 moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it

again..

thank you

Those emails go around every August, which is when Mars and the Earth are closest together in their orbits. This email was actually true in August of 2003, I believe, but it was never as large as the full moon. Unless something seriously wrong happens in the solar system, Mars will never look more than about 5 times as big as most stars appear. Mars may come within 35 million miles of the Earth, but to look as large as the Moon, it would have to be within a half million miles. The email is right in that no one alive will ever see Mars that close again, but it's not close enough to make a really visible difference in the night sky, unless you have a telescope. Save the email - I can practically guarantee you that you will receive the same email next August.

Nope, its completely wrong (and was originally sent out in 2003, but of course they left the year off so they could send it out every year to fake people out).
