What fear do you have?
Most roller coasters are very safe. The chances of you dieing or being injured on a roller coaster is about the same as winning the lottery. That is why they put those signs up if you have the following health conditions and must be a certain height.
You would be more at risk driving to the amusement park than riding on the ride.
Most medical emergercies at amusement parks are heat related and food related.
Almost all fatalities are heat related.

well there are many ways to over come your devestation of going on roller coasters.
1. wear a blind fold (it will look good for the picture and you won't know that is going on around you)
2. you should start on the mini drangon coaster in the kiddy section of the park
3. take deep breaths (espically on the 200 foot drops)
4. go to the bathroom before you go on the ride (accidents do happen) (once in a blue moon)
5. don't look down!!!!! (you mught barrrrf).
6. don't eat mexican or thai food before going on the coaster
7. GO ON THE ROLLER COASTER!!!YAAAHOOOO!!!(ligans) hehehe

I don't think theres a sure fire to overcome the fear, other than just mustering up the courage to get on there and enjoy the ride.

the only way to overcome your fear is to ride one, just to test it out. If you really really don't like it after that, you have nothing to complain about because you have already experienced it. This is how I overcame my fear. I rode one, and now I can't get enough of them!

Go on one with a good friend (make sure that he or she is not a screaming / hyper fella).
Close your eyes when you are reaching the high points.
Hold on tight and just scream when you feel like it.
Relax and seriously, it ends much faster than you think.
Do NOT think of food when you are going for a ride too. I did and it was... horrible.

I just forced myself to go on them. After awhile they stopped being scary and started being fun. Of course I was in junior high at the time, so I don't think they'd be scary now if I had never been on one.
