I have just got window XP with service pack 2 on it and very load up well.

when I started my PC up and place a disc into the CDRW it light up then stop and when I click on the icon in my computer for the CD ROM nothing happens, it dose not respond to any CD in the CDRW at all, however it will eject the CD but will not read it at all. please could someone help me out there thanks foxylove9

Hi. First make sure you have the latest driver from the CDRW manufacturers site. Then use "Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager>". Click on the DVD/CD rom button. Find your CDRW and uninstall it. Reboot and Win XP should find it and install the latest driver you downloaded. Good luck!

hi foxylove9,rightclick on the cd drive icon then on the bottom of the menu you will see PROPERTIES click on properties then at the top you will see a tab called autoplay click on autoplay then click into the actions circle ( place a dot in the small circle ) if this fails maybye your cd player has died. cheers.

Take the disc to a friends machine (or known to work machine) and try it there, if it works then you need a new drive..... they're cheap as at about AU$30-40 for a DVD-R.
