It already has. And, not just recently, either - by the early 70s, at the latest. And, yes, it is entirely possible to have an economy that focuses on one poduct or service, and trades for virtually everything else.

If globalism gains momentum and is unchecked, the average American income will decline until on par with the average income of people worldwide.

Economics.

A lucky few American elites will gain wealth, though.
