I respected all the Presidents in my life. I may not agree with all of what they did in office, but I respect them in office.

I hope so. I can't see people bowing their heads as to a god ever (at least I hope not) but yes, if someone is elected to that position who is passionate about what they believe, respectful of the people who elected them as well as those who didn't vote for them, and openminded enough to listen and maybe even change their mind and/or admit mistakes without adding a 'but . . . ' then I would respect that person even if I didn't share their entire agenda. I know a person like that right now - a Roman Catholic priest. I don't share all of his beliefs but I respect his unwavering passion for them and his ability to still care about everyone regardless of their beliefs, his knowledge and his willingness to accept debate and even criticism. He says that it 'keeps him on his toes'. I think that anyone who is healthy and secure with themself will have the ability to give respect when it is deserved and I truly do hope that you get a president who deserves it.

The office (title) of the president is always respected. As for the person in the office I would say one must earn respect and one must give it to get it.

that depends. Will our country ever see a president who puts the needs of their country ahead of their wants for their legacy?

you do not truly clarify what you mean by 'appreciate' yet i'm vulnerable to say no. there is not something approximately him that's interior the least good; he's completely reprehensible. He grew to become into not elected. extra human beings voted for Gore in 2000; Bush "gained" basically because of the fact Harris, his SE marketing campaign supervisor, who grew to become into in fee of Florida's election, had Democrats systematically and wrongly removed from the voter registration lists, combating them from vote casting. The Butterfly polldidn't help. (and additionally you could keep in mind the mob action on the element of Republicans to circumvent recounting, to make sure who had gained between people who have been allowed to vote.) In 2004, Kerry lost Ohio because of the fact the desktops have been programmed to grant the election to Bush. particular, he's been the face of our us of a, and is why anyone hates us. he's a mass murdering, torturing, mendacity, thieving, corrupt traitor to his us of a, devoid of techniques, no heart, no experience of right and incorrect, and no redeeming features in any appreciate. He has been an unmitigated catastrophe for this us of a, and accomplished great harm interior the international. i won't grant appreciate to somebody who merits basically condemnation and disgust. particular, we do would desire to voice dissent in a civilized way (something Bush refused to do, calling people who disagreed with him terrorists who hate us of a of america -- almost all the inhabitants disagreed with him approximately maximum issues). "had his shortcomings"? Are you KIDDING? he's not something yet shortcomings, and worse -- unlawful interest. particular, he hasn't had finished potential, yet he overwhelmingly have been given his way (frequently because of the fact his social gathering ran government, and because Congress abdicated after 9/eleven). His potential went a great way previous his truly, constitutional powers, as he truly shredded that rfile. Congress constantly caved to him. Civilized discourse, particular. yet, no. To appreciate as thoroughly despicable and criminal monsterosity as he's would be to appreciate wrongness itself. That i won't carry myself to do.

Hillary Clinton will command the respect of all the world, as opposed to Bush who commands the contempt of the world.

We'll need a person in power whose character actually deserves that respect.

We don't have a person like that as President currently.
