Yes I have. I think it's just rude not to at least acknowledge the people or person that responded. A lot of thought and time goes into some answers. Be they humorous or serious.
By not even reading all the answers and picking one, the asker is basically telling everybody that they don't care enough to spend the time to read them.
So why ask the question?
I have been guilty of not picking. But that was because I was out of town for an extended time. Now I don't ask questions if I know I will not be around to respond to them
Simple courtesy.

Sometimes it's fun to see how the vote would turn up. Like in one case I asked a question about a political decision for a friend and let the voting choose which way to go. Otherwise people are just lazy or don't know enough about the subject to know when they got the right answer. (10 points will never quite cut it for detailed technical instructions)

Sometimes people don't find the answers they're looking for and at other times they ask so many questions that they forget about it.
I dont think that the 4 hour limit on waiting for better answers helps Yahoo Answers much - people should be able to select a right answer if it's quick and what they were looking for.

Depends how important the answer is to them. I admit I haven't yet. It is only because the questions I asked were just for opinions and I have not been looking for a best answer when I read the answers. Nothing against everyone's different taste I like seeing different taste in things. They are just question where there is no general best answer that is looked for and they go to voting. Besides I thought we were here to have fun and learn a few things, best answer or no best answer.

Don't take it personally. That person may have forgot, may have had a family emergency or maybe they asked the questions and then went on a vacation the next day....or they may just be lazy and don't want to pick a best answer....you never know.

I cant stand it when people do that. When people take the time to give well thought answers to someones question, the least they can do is take the time to choose a best answer.

So true I haven't been on here for 3 months and I'm still getting best answers by voters. Not the person who asked the question, I like it don't get me wrong. It led me back here.

I've noticed that too.
I try to pick my best answers as soon as I can
If you ask a question, you should try to choose a best answer.
That makes if fun for all of us.
Sometimes I answer a question..I've given the only answer...which I know is correct...and the question goes into voting..!
Silly people...

I think I miss the chance to choose one! Do we have a certain time frame to do it? Sometimes I see "Choose a best answer" under my questions in that box, and sometimes it is not there for some questions.
